Now that I look at it, it is obvious that the old 1950's Nikon S2 rangefinder camera had a defective shutter. It's an interesting subject badly photographed.

I think it's cool. I seen a new one in the box for like $2500 on eBay.came with case and a 50mm. It's an S3 though

I'll bet the price of that setup back in the day was about $200. I can't imagine that anybody other than a collector with deep pockets would pay that kind of money for it. My S2 was a camera that was restored for me by a friend who did camera repair. The shutter he put in it was probably not properly rebuilt. The 50mm lens, though, was a dandy.
