There is that type of picture that is really popular right now and to be honest I'm not sure if its an edit or the way it was taken but I would like to know how to do it. It look like a warm unsaturated picture. I would describe it as rustic almost! I just want to know how to get that same effect. I think I could find an example if you want one.

You mean that fake vintage look that is so popular on Facebook today? easy.. desat and add yellow to taste. Although that is so OVERDONE... I don't know why you would want to. There are a lot of BAD, free actions and presets that do that... have fun!

Up to you! If you want to be like everyone else... go for it. If you want Vibrant color, Good contrast, and Realistic looking photo's.... I wouldn't bother.
