Go into the woods about 20 yards, look up and to quote Herman Melville, "thar she blows"....or sits as it were. The trick is to keep a pine tree or two between you and him until you can get within 50 feet, then shoot. Getting closer to an Eagle is not allowed (yeah, I know, people do it) as it is considered harassment. It's a hefty fine and I was already down in a "Off Limits" area.

Nice. I will probably be in Florida in February, Tampa area. Any suggestions of good spots. I have a couple good botanical gardens in the area.
