I'm hoping these appeal a bit more. I added the 1.4 TC and tried to get closer.

What type of plant is the little fellow so attracted to? Ours like the Thistle seed sock, of course, and the Upright Verbena.

I also find it hard not to blow out the colors, the yellow on them are highly reflective.

Nicely done, however....... I think you know, but the wing motion in #1 and the hidden beak in #2, otherwise, lovely photos.

I think I could back off on the Saturation and unsharp mask a bit. It seems to be overdone when I post on here but not so much on my computer.

Such pretty birds. the only ones I've been able to shoot so far are dark things that don't make very pretty pictures, and they refuse to do anything interesting for me.
