American Woodcock.

Spotted this bird yesterday. by far my best photos of it. first photo is uncropped taken with my dads 500mm lens. 2nd and 3rd photo are cropped also taken with the 500. 4th and 5th are taken with my 400. it shows that while the 500 is a nicer lens the 400 is about 90% as good for nowhere near as expensive.

Someone recently said that there's no substitute for big mm (and I agree) but that 400 is holding it's own pretty well, I think. Nice set.

It appears so. I can tell the color saturation and contrast is pretty awesome on that 500
