Thank you sir. This area is a great and diverse place for photographers. People, architecture, landscapes...it has it all. I like spending lots of time there.

Great set, was this down in the Lancaster area??? Years ago I worked for a company that manufactured poultry equipment. We offered some "manual" options specifically for the Amish, so I spent a lot of time up in the area. I was amazed at the ingenuity of the farmers and also of the conflicts with new vs old. I will never forget watching an Amish man pulling a gasoline engine powered corn picker through the field with a team of horses.

No, this was out in Montour County, Pa. Washingtonville and Turbotville are the closest communities. Large and old farms are commonplace there. It is about a 45 minute trip for me. Mennonites and Amish are a big part of the population there.

Very nice set. We have a big Mennonite/Amish community about 40min from where I am. There is a huge market there that we go to a couple times a year. This reminds me to bring my camera next time I go.

Tourists have inundated the Lancaster Amish area to the point of interfering with their lifestyle. Many people make fun of them, but I respect anyone that places their faith and convictions above all else. You won't find harder workers.

To me the last 2 have the flat, low contrast look of a JPEG made using the monochrome setting on the camera, rather than a B&W with more contrast and perhaps some dodge & burn made by editing a Raw file color image.
