Hey all, new guy here.

A few weeks ago I woke up at night with a start, and in my mind a single thought bounced around clear as day: I would like to get into photography. It was a weird thing.

So a few days of research, I picked up a Nikon D5500 with a few lenses: kit, 55-300 and a 35mm prime.

I have always had an interest in photography, but never really had the opportunity to have any decent gear (I fully realize gear along doesn't make photography) and have always ended up with cheapest point and shoots and then cell cameras.

So far so good - learned lots in the last few weeks. Currently, I mainly focus wildlife shots (animals and plants) as well as portraits and landscapes.

Off to look around.

Ok, so you need to stop right now. Open your wallet. Take a picture of it while there is still money left inside. Make sure you have plenty of backups of this picture, because you'll probably never see it like this again....

Lol

Seriously though, welcome to the forum.
