An Old Man New To Your Site

Welcome.

Personally I love a good balance between artistic vision and technical skill/knowledge. I believe that technical skill is what allows an artist's vision to be realized.
I reckon the technical aspect seems more complicated than it really is. Apart from the ability to keep the camera steady while the shutter is open there's more or less only the "triangle", three things to get "right" shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Art is the hard part... for me Dan. I can't draw a circle LOL!

I too can't draw well even if my life depended on it. I think this is why I turned to photography.

Welcome aboard. Great perspective from the floor. That's artistic.
Thank you Alan... I had to lay down on the platform to get the shot, even then it was difficult to get my head low enough to frame the shot in the view finder.

Cheers,

Alan... I'm "Alan" too :encouragement:

Well, hi there Alan! Here's a short video I got of cannon fire at a reenactment of the Battle of Monmouth in New Jersey during the Revolutionary War in 1778. I was laying down in the grass. You really get an interesting perspective lower down. My camera has an articulating viewfinder. So I can flip it up to view down on it. Great for kids and pet shots as well.
