An Older B&W..(C&C)

New to this...Thought id post an old favorite.
Was taken randomly with a Nikon Cool Pix (yes, a point and shoot. lol )
I really like this pic... the way it turned out. Not to bad in my opinion...

Just looking to get some C&C and maybe some advice to shooting stuff like this.

( I just noticed the Obnoxious White line in the center sides of the framed copy... not sure what thats about but it sure is annoying.)

Well, I think the hummingbird could be a bit more prominent cause the first time i looked at the photo, i didnt even see it. Other than that i like it.

well the camera wasnt the greatest.lol but yes i wish the Hummingbird was more focused.

Anything i can do to this pic in Photoshop to make the bird more dominate?... or for the picture to look better?

I really like the first better. The second is a little dark, and distracts from the hummingbird IMHO. The vignetting just doesnt seem to work for me, and seems to remove the nice contrast of the first.
