An Unorthodox Tele-Extender - Fujifilm X100S at the LA Zoo

I went to the LA Zoo this weekend with my Fujifilm X100S. Of course, once I got there I realized that X100S isn't very conducive to that environment.

So I used those coin-operated telescope things to help give me a little more reach.

The severe vignetting actually helps the image in this one.
I'm also rather keen on the 2nd & the last shots...
The first shot looks a little softer & lower contrast than the others - more akin to what I often end up with when using cheaper telephotos. Overall it's clearly a technique worth considering!

Yeah I wasn't sure it was even going to work since I didn't know how poor quality they were. They nowhere near sharp but I think that part of why I like it.

And yeah, the first is a little fuzzy. They had a focusing mechanism but some worked better than others lol.
