I quite like the composition. Would have preferred the whole reflection but not always possible or practical. Good all the same of an interesting if weird looking subject.

I think what you are seeing is jpeg artifacts from shrinking a 47 MP file down to a 72dpi rendition. I did so little post on this image, and none of what I did would have affected it enough to create haloes. While I appreciated your PM edit, I went there for a brief moment but it did not suit the actual setting which I always try to stay within.
