another from my stonework days.

this is a granite cutting board in the shape of a dog bone. it is heavy. 21 inches by 16 1/2 inches.
on the bottom, you can see where hand holds have been cut in to make it easier to lift and move around the counter.
top is polished and buffed, bottom is not. edges were made 1/2 inch round.

ive heard varying reports on that. good knives don't dull as easily.
if you have a good knife set, you probably have a good sharpening rod for it anyway.
the stone is sealed, and cleans easily. we used to do a lot of cutting boards for people out of the same material we do their kitchen in. people loved them.
you can put hot pots or pans in it with no problems.

Officialy I have no idea but I personally have not had any issues with it dulling our knives.
