Another Passtime

I make books. My five year old basically dared me to make a book the same size as the Maurice Sendak Nutshell Library. The books are about 3.5" x 2.5". Little does she know, it's easier! I wrote her a little story, wrote it out, and here are the bits and pieces.

The text block is Smythe Sewn, folio in threes, three signatures and two tapes (I use book cloth for the tapes):



This is the finished text block, with the spine glued, and a mull (also bookcloth):




The case. A standard hardcover case, made from bookcloth and mat board:



Tomorrow, after all is fully dried, I will glue the text block into the cover. But then it just looks like a tiny little book.
