Another Photographer Party in Topeka

Threw another big shindig yesterday in downtown Topeka at the historic Jayhawk Theatre which is currently being renovated. They allowed me to bring an enthusiastic (if not downright rowdy) bunch of people in for the day. This time we had 17 photographers, 22 models, and 9 other artists just hanging out with us. Also there was a prom at one of the schools and some kids came by with their parents to shoot some pics and we all ended up shooting pictures of the couples.

Guests included a Tribal Belly Dance troop, a hip hop band getting promo shots, and a ghost investigation team. A couple of the ladies who helped me to organize it also managed to get about 40 different vintage 1920's and 1930's era costumes. And one photographer brought all his horror stuff for shooting down in the basement below the stage.

It's graduation and wedding season, so we had a lot of people who couldn't make it, so we're doing an evening shoot on Friday the 13th, then another Saturday shoot on June 4th. And we'll add a 4th date if we need to. I am bringing a movie makeup artist on June 4th who specializes in Horror films.
