What I did different with this photograph was using spot metering. It was quite overexposed when using the metering system that averages the light in the frame. Anyway, I actually like this picture, and would like your views. I used the equipment in my signature at f/6,3, shutterspeed 1/400th sec and ISO 200. Handheld.

Beautiful sky, but the cropping seems a bit awkward to me.

As is, it seems the sky is your only subject, and it just isn't powerful enough for me to enjoy this shot. The tree could be a much needed subject, allowing the sky to complement instead, but it's getting lost in the dark part of the sky. I think this would have been much better had you moved to the right and put the silhouette of the tree against the brightest part of the sky to create more impact and to make it the subject, something that allows the viewer to put the sky in perspective.

Good compositional point. However, if I moved right I'd move into a small mountain/hill (don't know the accurate English word). So that would be impossible. I actually took it from our property.

Compositional-wise not great. But the colours, focusing etc etc (the technical stuff) is fine? I'm pretty new to ("proper") photography.
