Antique Bus

Welcome aboard.

Since this is your first post, you will probably get more responses if you use the "Share" feature at Flickr, and post the image. A lot of TPFers will not follow a link from a first time poster.

An interesting and colorful bus. I think there is a lot going on in the background, but you may not have been able to do much about that. You have a couple in that set that I think are way over-processed,

ok edited post to take on your suggestions, thanks for that.

Yeah I know I have some over-processed images but I was just experimenting to see how far I can go. It's part of the learning curve.

A couple things:

First, I would frame it more to the left. The bus, for me, is too far to the right.

Second, I'm not a fan of the telephone pole coming out of the top of the bus. You could probably get away with cloning it, and the associated wires, out of the shot.

As for the processing, I dig it...

It's an attractive shot, keep working on this. Very smooth texture on polished surfaces, which is often lost in HDR. I like the color, but it's just a bit dark for my taste.

I appreciate your comments. In my excitement of finding this bus and actually having my camera with me I was more focused on the object rather than the picture as a whole. A stupid mistake but a lesson learned.

I have made an attempt at cloning out the pole and wires. Not completely happy with the result and may rework it when I get the chance.

What snow bear meant by share is to hit share on Flickr, copy the BB code, and paste it in your post. That way the image will show up as a picture on the forum instead of a link.
