Any general tips on fireworks?

Happy New Year to you, too, Libeco.
I was thinking of you when I took my some 50 or so photos of the private fireworks in the street tonight ... and can report that one out of those 50 is good (if I may say so myself) and a couple of others are OK and the rest ... sniff-sniff ... has to go.

I'll go to bed now but hope to see yours on her tomorrow.

I haven't gone through mine fully yet, but I think I also have quite some not that interesting or out of focus... :(

Well, here's a first attempt, opened through Adobe Camera RAW, played with some settings and this is what came out, hopefully it looks like something...

And another one before I'm going to get some sleep, also used Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop for some minor editing...

Wow!

Those are spectacular! Good work; can't wait to see more.

Hey, if you want to see what I managed to get in the night, you might want to check out this_thread , libeco?

So here's some more, basically I saw the first ten or so I took were out of focus, but further on there's still loads which went quite well! :)

I was in doubt whether to create a new topic in the gallery or not, but to keep all together I posted the pics here. Tried some different frames around the pics, perhaps for one shoot I should stick with the same type of frame...
