Any Ideas on Glare Reduction?

I have a basic point and shoot digital that lacks a separate view-finder. I find that the LCD viewing screen, in which I must use to compose the photo, nearly fads to zero visibility in the brightness of outside shots. Quite a lot of the time I'm shooting my subjects blindly.

Are there any shade boxes made for such cameras? Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for the great book idea, however, what I was looking for was an attachment for the camera so that I can see the LCD (TV) screen better when outside in bright daylight conditions.

There is a great book out there that will help you with this issue and many other lighting issues.

Bright daylight conditions are the worst to shoot in.
