Alison, my advice to you would be to contact a lawyer in your area. Most will give an free initial consultation which can be very helpful. Hope everything turns out okay for you!

Yeah...I thought there was someone on there that was a lawyer, I just couldn't remember his name. I remember cuz someone made a post exactly like this before.
