Shooting with a T3i, and the 70-200 IS II. The T3i autofocus has a very, very, very difficult time grabbing something as small as dragonfly in flight. Does anyone have any tips to help make it better (other than a new body?)
Here are my progression of shots. Because I was having such a difficult time w/autofocus I moved to manual focus.
I have documented my struggles. ARRRGGGGHHH!!
1. Typcial
2. Typical A/F error
3. Getting better, switched to MF. Keep in mind these are not hovering, but moving.
4.
5. 'Best' in flight image. MF, as it moved. Quickly.
6. If it was only this easy...
