WOW! That's really good for 15 minutes! I go through periods where I am speed artist. That bee that's on the 1st page of this thread took me 45 minutes!

I have been at this for a LOT of years. It's the eyes that take me a while. Otherwise it's all fast as hell.
It's not so hot... I don't have any charcoal here, so it's graphite-NOT my strong point. And I don't have any mask so it's FILTHY... But it was fun! I haven't done one since last summer!

That's funny! I'm the opposite. I am most comfortable with graphite and eyes are the easiest for me to do! How long have you been at it? I've been drawing for 10 years, but 10 years ago I was 12 so I'm probably not as good as someone who has been drawing for 10 years who started as an adult.

Well, I am 41 and I was an art major in high school, so 30 years?
This is my grand daughter... the drawing my daughter-in-law loves and I hate.


Ron-It's just like photography... No one wants to pay for the time it takes to produce a GOOD drawing-or the talent. Hell, why should they when they can make a fake one in photoshop in about 2 seconds? I usually do a few around Christmas time-people will buy them for gifts. Otherwise? I kind of forget I can do it much of the time. No time!

Ever since I grew that beard and grew my hair out, everywhere I go, I get the same thing about looking like Jesus. It is kind of odd though, me thinks, that Jesus, who was a Jew, would have blond hair and blue eyes. Just saying.
