Not where I thought I'd end up
Until I can afford a copy of CS2 I am looking for a freeware/shareware version of image editing software. I have downloaded and started playing with Paint.net but documentation seems to be a bit limited. It's listed as highly comparable to PS.
Is anyone using this software and are there any online reference guides or tutorials that I've missed while searching?
Thanks,
DDave

The Gimp is really good! If you've ever used PhotoShop before then you'll understand gimp really easily. Even without installing that plugin matt's talking about (I haven't tried it either) you can still use photoshop tutorials in it. Though sometimes they've called things slightly different names - but generally it works.

Thanks all for the input. I've got The Gimp but I've never got past installing it. The only editor I've used is Picasa2 and it's very limited in capabilities. I took a look at Gimp and decided I didn't have a clue what to do next. Maybe I'll start playing with it... Can't hurt.
Thanks,
Dave
