Hot summer evening on Raiatea and this shot just jumped out and said "Shoot Me".

How reassuring to see that I'm not the only one making this one big mistake almost all the time, i.e. that one of "letting the water run out of the ocean"

. In other words, this could be a stunningly beautiful photo (colours! Aaaahhhh!

), if
a) the horizon wasn't right in the middle of the picture, and
b) same horizon wasn't tilted.

The colours, however, DO suggest a "Take this photo NOW", so I understand what you must have felt when you saw this sunset!!!

beautifull... but tilted!

I do the same so don't care

but can you tell me what are the shadows above the sun? Was it intentional? It look a bit wired here and I don't know what is this

The "shadows" above the sun are leaves on a purau tree being silloutted (sp).. The picture is taken from my back yard and I was as far north as I could get on land without being in 7 foot of water...
