I have no idea. It was just there. As I recall, there was nothing but open sky above me.

Did you have a lens hood on or maybe a hand full of strap wound up on your hand while holding the camera? I have a lens hood that does better at giving me a vignette than anything else.

I have a small hood, but I get minimal results with it. I use it more as a bumper, to stop my self from scratching my lens carelessly.

Thought maybe the lens hood showed up a bit in the corner. Mine is like shooting photos through a tunnel lol It shows up like a vignette in the corners of every photo if I use it. It actually looks ok on some of the monochrome that I shot before I knew it was visible. I keep it folded back to use as a bumper like you do now though. It's an old rubber one, give it a shove an it folds back. Anyways, I'll stfu, I've been up since noon yesterday and it's about 6am. Tired and rambling. [/rambling]
