Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I know I said I would do this tomorrow but I was kinda excited so I wrangled my child and here we go... they still all seem bright to me... what else can I try to adjust this?

Again using my trusty toilet paper to defuse is there something better I could use for this purpose?

In these my son is about 2' from the backdrop and I am about (which is laid on my chair this time so not the best becuase u can see the seat sorry about that will be better for the next set.)

Im no pro but I think they are a bit to bright... and there is to much open space, maybe hold the camera vertical (portrait) instead and lower the iso to 100

I find them bright to as I stated at the start and I will try that adding it to my list for tomorrow. Thank you :)

is it just me or do these seem brighter then the first one

(I am sorry to post the drool again.)

Ok, still a bit bright. Turn the camera to portrait orientation and frame your baby in this frame. You back up maybe 2 feet and take it down to 100 iso and maybe up to 8 on aperature. Do this in increments to see the results. You are doing the right thing by keeping records of the progression.
It is so much easier when the flash is off camera but on camera flash can be useful at times.

Speaking of off camera flashes when I look them up on my photography stores site there are so many how do I know which to choose? I have deemed this my next purchase

My work is done here. I was able to get you to use your flash so your images weren't black and you could start getting excited, not frustrated. I have a cheap Bower s328 I got off an Ebay dealer for $42.00. I am limited on the various varieties out there and surely someone more experience in ocf will chime in. Anyways continue to practice and it will become easier. Have fun.

Thank you very much for all of your help I appreciated it

Wonder how Boomn4x4 is handling all this?

His head must be two more mug shots from explode by now.

I def picked the worst subject in his mind I know... on a plus note it does show that not everyone is critiquing the subject and not every parent gets angry

You are doing very well. Try to use your longest focal length lens now to see what you can achive. That might keep you away from some of the intense highlights due to a foreced distance. Close with a pop up flash even tho diapered is still not the best.

Glad you are having a good time.

I will pull that one out tomorrow and see what happens :)

I see that the variable in the exposure triangle that you are changing the most is the shutter speed. Keep in mind that when using flash, if the primary lightsource is flash from your camera, then the shutter speed will not effect the exposure. If your flash is too bright, turn the flash compensation down and close your aperture 1/3 or 2/3 of a stop.

I can not adjust my flash as it is the pop up flash. I am waiting for mine to come in

Read page 85 of your T1i user manual. I also suggest you diffuse your flash with a business card.
