With black and white photos, there's a strong emphasis on contrast, which this photo doesn't have much of. I like it a lot, and I think it would be a great photo to frame up, even. But from a critical standpoint, it could use some more contrast.

But you may wanna wait for someone else to come along and second that. I'm fairly new to this, and there may be some reason not to. Besides, its a great photo, and I don't like to mess with things I already like (it makes me nervous).

I don't think the picture lacks contrast. Too much contrast and skin tones don't go well together IMHO.
