Jesus H... holy halos.

Way over processed... that's not HDR, I don't know what that is - there's no detail in, well, anything.

Looks like a negative image. What did you do that image?

+1 over processed. but for some reason i like it.

just starting hdr with photomatix. i find that i am unable to achieve something without a halo around edges. how can i fix that?

thanks :p

Converted into HDR? How many exposures were used?

i just learned the basic process yesterday, havent been out to take shots yet, this was 1 raw file converted into 3 exposures using lightroom, then into hdr.

You should actually take three bracketed images using the camera then run through the photomatix software. will take a while to learn the adjustments and fine tuning to get where the image looks correct and not blown out with the wrong colors and lose of detail.

This doesn't work!

...but I still like this image for some reason...

try the luminosity slider to help back off the halos

be sure you using the ghosting function as well as the clouds are giving you a problem .

are you using the latest vesion of photomatrix as should help

im using photomatix pro 3.0.2

anyhow, i made a bunch more and i think this one turned out alright. i probably still don't have the right idea of what a proper HDR should look though.
