So you got your house cat to pose? Nice! But a little more light on the face would be good. I'm kinda missing the sparkle in the eyes.

Yes, the background is well exposed ;)

No seriously, I guess this was a low-light situation with the animal moving? So you got a compromise with an underexposed animal and some motion blur? The solution would have been a higher ISO film or setting on the digital camera, whatever you are using.

But I might also be mistaken, and it is a crop from a larger frame?

In any case, "pose" and expression on the face are great and well captured. But the image suffers from the technical problems mentioned above I think.

If you have software that allows you to adjust curves, it can help shots like this quite a bit:

I also selectively darkened the background and brought out the green of the eyes a bit.

A nice shot. Shooting at a higher ISO as mentioned above and spot metering on the face might have helped as well.
Beautiful animal.

beautiful Tiger! Sleist's adjustments do help it out a good amount.

Lovely cat. The tigers are the zoo here never get in a decent position for good shots.

Your shot does need some more light on his face though, as sleist's edit indicates. The very bright background makes it seem darker than it probably is but it looks rather underexposed on the face.

Majestic animal. Hope it's in a sanctuary instead of a mom and pop zoo
A bit underexposed but still quite lovely

Sadly, this is from a zoo :blushing:; it is under exposed too... and Sliest had the solution :D

Still young. Looks like Sumatran tiger.
