I met Auntie in Stokes Croft, Bristol.

When I asked her name, she told me it was “Auntie”. Then, with perfect timing, she added “Auntie-social”, followed by “Auntie-establishment”.

At which point I couldn’t resist adding “Auntie-biotic”. That was the moment she laughed.

The second image is a close crop from the portrait. A landscape within a portrait. One of those details you only really notice afterwards: the texture of the skin, the light in the eye, the whole image contained in a small part of the frame.

I like this shot. Subject is good, of course, but something about the background kinda catches my eye, making me look at it, and not the subject. Maybe if she was further away from the background you could have blurred it a bit more. Cool story. I envy your ability to strike up conversations with strangers...great asset in this endevour.
