Looks like a wonderful place to hike. Shot #1 needs HDR to bring out the cabin due to high contrast light.

the water does look a little blue to me also and not sure if it is slightly tilted? There are some amazing colors in that photo!
Wackii is right about the cabin too dark. When you go back, take 3 (+) photos. 1 too bright on the cabin, 1 too dark on the cabin, and 1 exposed for cabin.....and blend them together.....I think, I am new too.

as as you read more, you will be amazed at the advice here from some real pros.

It is actually a simple leento (sp) It was open and had some ugly graffiti inside, thats why I exposed for the trees. I figured focus on the beautiful contrast of the trees and leave the building in mysterious shadow

I like the waterfall, and think the blues are just fine. If I painted this scene, it would sell much better with the bluish array. nice piece.

I'm colorblind. The blues are fine to me!

I agree with the cabin needing something (HDR?) to bring out the details
