I think that I would agree with dxqcanada about the lack of detail in the building and the rocks on the right. Your horizon is also just about dead centre in the image, whereas it is often better to place the horizon line along the upper or lower "thirds" position.
How did you do the B&W conversion - just curious.

I did the conversion in Lightroom 4. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could have shot this photo better? I shot it in bright sunlight. Should I have waited for the sunset?
