B&W portrait feedback, anyone?

My sister came to visit me recently and was happy to pose for some portraits, as I really need all the practice I can get. We were in quite a dark room for the shoot, and I only wanted to use the natural light, so the pictures are a bit grainy due to the high ISO. Unfortunately I don't have a very fast lens either. I haven't done any editing to them. Anyone like to c&c them, please? What could I have done better? I'm very eager to learn :thumbup:

The shadows are pretty heavy and give a more somber mood than one would expect from these poses. Perhaps #4 works the best. You might try using a sheet of white foam board as a reflector, or repositioning your sister so she faces the window and stand with the light at your back.

Thanks for your comments I totally agree with the mood bit - I had told my sister not to look so happy, but she said she doesn't do serious

I think #4 works very nicely, as her matches the style and lighting.
