Very Karsh! I like the kicker on the side of his face and that there is still detail in the shadowed side of the face. It's a cool pose and there are definitely some interesting things you could do with it! My two critiques are that the crop is very poor on the image as his face has almost no negative space in front of it compared to behind. You always want to give your portrait room to look in to. And my only other is that you might want to add a fill light on axis next time as there is little to no detail in the shadows on his body and this will also add some separation from the chair.

 

[Frequency]

very fine image; if it is coloured with illumination by flame/ candle, that would be another treat; source of light should remain where it is now
