The wet face was the first thing I noticed as well. Maybe some of it can be taken care of in photoshop so it won't be so distracting. Second shot is really nice (first is too, by the way) cute baby.

I think the first is OOF. Looks like it is centered on her shirt, not her eyes. Also, I think the composition could be better... Her legs are cut off and I think it would look better off center. Maybe try getting lower and shooting up at her.

The second one is cute. Maybe try a tighter crop ?

I think if the shirt didn't say "I want kisses" the snotness would be distracting, but it really adds to the emotion of the photo (for real)...No lies, I think it's rather humorous and artistic to incroporate something like that.

Forget cliche, and think about what's in YOUR photo..not photos of children in fields
