So my friend asked me to take some pictures of his newborn daughter before he left for Africa. Of the 192 i took, these were the three best I took IMO. Should I have gone Color or just kept them B&W? What do you guys think?

I would love to see the original unedited color versions. Your b&w conversions make the baby look dead, her skin is very grey and blotchy unflattering shadows etc. Try to keep it bright, clear, warm, happy, etc. You want your photos to represent the happiest time of the parents life so dark is not really working.

Your treatment looks harsh a bit, especially since it is all about world's tendermost things-children.... that was about the lighting.... but i really appreciate the way you look at the baby and the mom....
