This years fawns are still hanging around with their mothers and probably will continue until food becomes even more scarce. While out today, after this season's first snow (only an inch), I noticed one fawn looking off in the distance. He/she had spotted its mother, ran to her, and began trying to nurse. Of course having been weaned the mother refused but I witnessed it, only I missed the opportunity to capture an image. Below are a couple of images of this years fawns experiencing their first snow.
