Back from safari

So I'm pretty new to photography and I'm sure there are things I could have done a little better (composition, exposures, etc) but I was pretty pleased with the outcome. I'm open to comments and constructive criticism if anyone is interested. These are from our visit to Londolozi in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The first picture is a little disappointing- I thought this was a great shot until I realized this Impala was relieving himself (which, in retrospect, is likely why he stood still long enough to get this shot!)

I have never been to Africa south of Morocco, so I have no idea what your photographic conditions were like. I did find that the set rather lacked image contrast, but this could readily be fixed in post-processing. Having said that, I would be very pleased to come home with a first set like that. I also particularly like the first one, and the White Rhino.

I have just looked at the Exif data (on the Rhino), and you do seem to have made some adjustments in RAW.

The terrain is rather "bland" as far as colors go- especially during the time of year that we were there- just moving into spring. I used Lightroom to saturate the colors a little but I didn't want to go overboard and make them look unrealistically vibrant. The animals were made to blend in with the surroundings, after all. I'm even newer to Lightroom, so I was really just playing around with it and trying to figure out what looked good to my eye. Would you have done even more? I could post an unedited picture to give you an idea of how well the animals blended into their environment if that would give you a better idea.

Hi Rachel, glad your trip went well. These look good. I might crop a few differently but otherwise they look fine imo. There are too many to comment on. Love the vervet monkey with baby (would crop it tighter as well). Very jealous of your leopard (I've never seen one in the wild in the 28 years I lived there).

Also very jealous of the leopard as it is the one large cat I missed when on safari in Kenya. I very much like these and my only nitpic is the cut off lion's head.
