Backing Cards/Plastic slips

Hi all,

So i'm going to be selling 5x7 prints at the local market. Anyone know any sites that sell plastic slips and/or backing cards for prints? Preferably ones that ships too New Zealand.

Or what is the correct term for these items as then i may have more luck finding them

Do you mean mat board? that's used to back photos? There are also clear sleeves that are used to protect a matted print. I don't know about shipping, maybe try the large photography businesses like B&H and Adorama that may have international shipping. Maybe try searching mats and display/storage of photos on their sites to get an idea what you're looking for.

I was looking more for just a piece of card to support the image in the sleeve until the purchaser frames it or decides what to do with it

IMO you don't need a backing of any type. The photo paper itself should be sufficiently robust.

I get appropriate size clear plastic sleeves for small desktop size prints from a shipping supply house here in the US known as ULINE. ULINE - Shipping Boxes, Shipping Supplies, Packaging Materials, Packing Supplies

In a pinch you can grab some comic book sleeves. The come with a white acid free piece of cover stock to help keep things from bending. They are 8x10 I believe
