Ha pretty neat concept. It's simple and effective. I understand your need to establish it's placement... my eye had to search for the true nature of the subject. Was that your true goal?

Not initially - I had underestimated how much the handset would become lost in the background of the phone.

I struggled with the PP on this one a lot... I tried to bring out the handset, but I couldn't get what I wanted without making the whole thing look like crap. It would be fair to say that my PP skills are not stellar, lol.

I've thought of revisiting this phone (it's still there), but I don't really know what I could do differently though. Fill flash, maybe.

Maybe try it on a cloudy, or even rainy, day.

Maybe a tighter crop as well? Might help to see the details of the subject. Or a different angle to give some depth to the subject?

The broken phone is cool. I'd eliminate everything else and focus on that.

OK, whenever I go back up there I'll bring the 100mm macro.

(I go there a lot [beer store, lol], but I rarely have a camera.)
