Looks both 'awful' and 'spectacular' and makes me wonder how people on foot in the past managed to traverse the area

Image-wise I like the striations in the hills - must be something to see by eye

You can see why it was a famous 'bandito' hide-away in the hay-day of the American wild west.

More likely Sioux than Apache as they were much further Southwestern Indians

I remember visiting the Badlands in South Dakota, I don't remember what happened to the roll of film I shot there back then but I do remember the rugged beauty of the scenery.

So, I shot similar several years back, then took two to our local fair. No luck. Not even a white (fourth) ribbon.
