I'm jealous! I have been going out every Saturday for about two months searching for the eagles in my area and have only two distant photos to show for it. :/ In either case those are nice shots.

Pic 1 sure could use a tighter crop. Way too much empty over cast sky. Pic 2 really suffers from all those branches covering up the Eagle.

These appear (to me) to be a bit overexposed...

What if you went with a slightly tighter crop... Maybe adjust the white balance and saturation?

Nice edit! Yeah, editing a bird photo like this is something completely new to me, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Eagles can be pretty predictable, they will find places to perch that they use over and over. So finding the spot where you can get a good vantage point and then having the patience to wait is key.

He/she was quite still. But there were a few other people who were disturbing him/her, and in my attempts to get another angle I snapped a branch and scared him/her off.
