Barred Owl Takes Off

Lighting was still crappy. Came across this Barred Owl on one of my trails. It saw me the same time I saw him/her. It was static for a second until someone else came down the trail. This is my best owl in flight shot so far.... Comments welcome

I would agree and lol, these are 4 consecutive frames, .15 seconds apart. I have no idea how to possibly keep focus on the face when a bird jumps that fast, I don't think the camera could focus fast enough and it was still focused on his feet, I was lucky to get it remotely in focus

You know it might not be the focus. Could be motion blur. They just move so fast.
