My wife as we were waiting to leave the resort after our belated honeymoon. She was soaking up every last ray of sun she could knowing we were destine for the upper mid-west upon our return..

I like it even though you have made the sculpture a part of your composition. My problem with that is you've cropped the top of the sculpture.

A stronger portrait, IMO, would simply crop most of the sculpture above her head. Like this:

Thanks for the edit. I have to say I both agree and disagree.. I do wish I had not cropped the top of the sculpture, but I feel like if it's all cropped off it loses context.. I think because the place has meaning to me, that even though your crop does make a stronger portrait composition, it loses so much context that it has less appeal to me. Make sense?
