Neither color nor B&W conversion will fix focus. I suggest you try shooting this again. The baby is a cutie!

black and white is way better. on the original (color) the white balance is way off making the baby seem blue. Try for eye contact next time

Yes the wb is off, the background is the same colour as his eyes!
