the first one has some potential. itd be better if you could tell where the sand ended and the water began more clearly.

The first one is cool, but all the different lines make it a little busy.
I like the 2nd one a lot.

I agree that the first one is busy, and as far as the water line Joey, it is pretty much where the wave is. The other lines and shape are a result of the light hitting where the sand was more or less wet.
