Ha! Excellent!

I am totally stealing the gold-reflector idea, and will shamelessly exploit it for my own uses.

Where might I steal the idea for the homemade striplights?

My brain! They were simple to make. I don't have step by step tutorial... But here's a rough outline.

9x24", 8" deep.
Use a reflector for bouncing the flash inside (I used stop top covers, they are like 6" circles).

Cover the front with rip stop nylon.

And that's it!

I've used the white side of my reflector, never thought of the gold side.

I actually used it on a beer bottle shot to bounce the light back through the bottle.

I should clarify that I used the BLACK side, and lit it with a gelled flash. I have other images where I used the gold but I preferred the color that the gelled/black combo resulted in.
