Overnightprints.com is one of the best places I have found!!! I tried Vista Prints as I am on a budget, but they were HORRIBLE. Overnight Prints' quality is awesome, and I only paid $16 for 100 cards including shipping. Very nice. You can upload your own design for free too, this is the one I designed for myself for another set on the way...

The actual design I uploaded had more black around all edges for the bleed and safe zone. I can't wait to get these ones in the mail!!!

Those photos would be awfully small on a business card.

To be honest i like the idea, but i would have used only one image instead of multiples. Like Mike said they would be small and a bit confusing to people. I would try making it more simple because after all isn't that the point of a business card to keep it simple but to get the point across.

Agreed. Also, with that many pictures it becomes pretty cluttered. There's no borders for the images, so everything clashes together--Not really my style of business card, but if you're happy, congratulations!

I took one of my business cars and held it out at a comfortable distance. I then moved back until the card on my screed matched my card for size.

I could only really make out the top left and bottom right images. The rest were unrecognizable.

If I moved closer to my monitor, the middle pix and the wedding dress looked to be the same image. It's as if the little boy is turning his head away, saying,"No, I don't want to look up your dress!"

A business card is not a mini portfolio, and you should choose a font that is easily readable.
Is the camera in the upper right really needed?

Is it World Business Card Month?

How do you know it is the best when you haven't seen the result?

Afterthought: Use a more legible font. Understandable that you want to convey some kind of personality with the font, but it's not going to be the best for your business card!

I don't like the font. I also don't like the little flourish-ey thing under the words. It almost looks like it was stretched out in length, but not width -- distortion. Too long, not enough wide.

You are being kind. I would have asked: Is it World Uglily Designed BC Card Month?

Ouch.

I think Krystle just wanted to share her new printing source. Apparently, she is so pleased with the results, she's placed an additional order.

Thanks, Krys. I routinely use the same printer for sell sheets and postcards. I agree, they do a very nice job for the price... consistent quality too!

Since the advent of digital photography, everyone is a pro shooter. Since the advent of computers, everyone is a designer...

Yeah.

I was going to add, if you want to look pro, have a pro design your card.
Doing it yourself, with no knowledge of graphic design, is a bad decision, really.

I kinda woke up myself to this idea, and looked at my business. My card ( i did it), showroom design (i did it), color choice/interior decorating (i did it), signage (i did it), logo/trademark stamp (i did it)...do not look very professional. Or at least as a whole, the package doesn't reflect the quality and meticulous detail of my work. So I hired, as I said before, a branding designer. They are redoing EVERYTHING. Sure it's expensive. But you only really need to do it once, or maybe again in ten years to "update" for changing times.

Having a designer do your card, and maybe your letterhead, shouldn't be very expensive. It will also set you ahead of the new photographer pack. It's money well spent. Keep in mind inexpensive little tricks that make cards "pop". Such as hot foil stamps (metalic letters), stamping or embossing.

People also labor over "logos" which are less important for new/young businesses, because first you are trying to get your name recognized. Once you are successful, then it's time to adopt a logo.

Because this is the second set of cards I will be getting from them. I ordered the first set, and then as an afterthought ordered this as my last name will be changing soon, so I wanted to make sure I had both on hand for whenever that happens. The photos actually came out pretty great on the first set, so I don't see why the second set would be anything different.
