Can others edit my Photos

Yes, I have already made 2 threads, but I feel like it would a lot easier to put this into one, I have now decided on the camera I want to buy, The Nikon FM2n, and I have also decided on a couple of lenses, 50mm f/1.4 and 28mm f/2.8 but I still need to find a good 35mm and telephoto.

I found this a Nikon 35mm f/2 N-AI Is it a good lens? The one I found on eBay had a couple of scratches on the barrel, but the optics looked fine.

I am also trying to find out which is best out of the 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5, 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 or the 105mm prime, so could anyone please help with this?
I you have any other suggestions for different lenses that you think I should try and get PLEASE DO TELL ME!

I am also looking to buy some different accessories, I have found so far the SB-10 flash (is there a better flash?), and MD-12 Motor drive, these are essential for me but is there anything else it would be best to buy? I keep seeing those large rubber eyepieces that go over the viewfinder, are they good?

Thanks, James

Nikkor 35 f/2 lenses are excellent. I've used several MF and AF versions and loved them all.

However, non-AI lenses should not be used on FM2n body which is designed for AI (or AI-converted). AI-S, AF or AFD lenses and has no facility for using the non-AI types though the earlier FM model can use them with stop-down metering.

Nikon didn't really make any bad lenses (with possible exception of some 43-86mm zoom) so I wouldn't be overly concerned about "which lens is best." All are capable of taking beautiful images if the photographer does his part.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful and much appreciated! I would much like to have a 105mm f/2.5 but they are VERY expensive (at least to me anyway) so I'll try and buy a 35-105mm to begin with, and zoom lenses do have their benefits. I haven't managed to find any 35mm f/2 for sale at a good price for me yet, so I'll try and buy a 35-105mm and 50mm f/1.4 and then wait for the 35mm and 28mm.

I'm a recent Nikonvert with an F3 and a Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8, very sharp glass with no distortion. Nice and light too. I got it for under $90, it gets my vote if you need a prime.

You might consider the 20mm f2.8, I personally ha e never found 35mm to be a very useful focal length, especially if u already have a 28mm. There's a much more noticeable difference between 20 and 28mm than there is between 28 and 35mm
