Unusual film in the hands of a beginner. Should I shoot it?

One of my old bosses who worked on the K-14 line in the late 70's for Kodak told me you had to have a 4 year degree in chemistry to run the $250,000.00 processor.
A friend who was a long-time Kodak rep got us into the Kodak Qualex lab in Hamilton, Ontario. The K-14 process machinery resembled a slightly flattened boxcar. This was the late '90s just before the line closed. All Kodachrome then went to Fairlawn, NJ.

Thanks folks! I see some pretty good points here so for the time being I will set these aside. My goals when it comes to photography are a combo of messing around and retracing the steps of a photographer who worked for my state's park system. He used an Argus c3 like mine to capture many interesting images across the state, though I wish I knew what film he was using.

Anyways, when researching a bit more, I found a place very close to home that develops the ECN-2 film, and for cheaper than most places. So at the end of the day, I might play around with them for fun, but nothing too serious. I at least know now that results have a high probability of being both a waste of money and of poor quality. Then again, I have been willingly shooting Kodak disc film so I am already getting used to both of those things.
