Best on-line source for beginers?

Wow again!

Thanks so much. I'm really glad I have some time to spend learning photography right now, because I'm going to need it!

well, don't laugh, it's not a DSLR. :blushing: I got the Panasonic Lumix FZ28. It fits my needs for now, and my budget.
Nothing wrong with using a nice superzoom bridge camera. I used a Olympus C-750UZ for 3 years before I got my Canon XTi.
I also have an SLR Canon Rebel and a 75-300mm lens.
Oddly enough I know a bunch of DSLR users who are starting to shoot film now. Some are even moving to medium and large format film cameras. Some are even selling all their digital gear.
But, I am excited about my new camera. I may not be able to put additional lenses on it, but I can still get a lot of learning out of it,
Nothing wrong with that. I'm constantly reminded by more experienced shooters that the camera just takes the picture...it's the person behind it who makes it a good photograph. Even the cheapest P&S camera in the hands of a good photographer will produce amazing images.
and hopefully some good shots!
Look forward to seeing them.
